  • BFSI, telecom, e-commerce, retail/CPG, travel and logistics lead adoption.
  • 61% reported over 20% cost reduction per eligible interaction.

Voice AI implementation in India is moving beyond initial trials, with adoption now seen across a range of industries according to a joint report released in October 2026 by Nasscom and Krisp.

The “India Voice AI Readiness 2026” report was published during the BPM Confluence event, highlighting how organisations are integrating Voice AI into their operations. The study found that a considerable portion of surveyed organisations have advanced from experimentation to practical deployment.

According to the report, 31% of organisations surveyed have implemented Voice AI in limited production environments. In addition, 13% have expanded these technologies across several customer journeys, indicating a broader application beyond pilot projects.

Industry sectors such as banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), telecommunications, e-commerce, retail/consumer packaged goods, and travel and logistics are identified as the most active in adopting Voice AI solutions. These sectors are utilising a mix of internal resources and external partners to drive their initiatives.

What the numbers show

  • 41% of organisations use a hybrid model for Voice AI deployment.
  • 29% co-develop Voice AI capabilities with partners.
  • 68% realised ROI within 6 to 24 months.
  • About 30% of scaled organisations saw positive revenue impact.

Many organisations are using a hybrid approach, combining in-house teams with external technology or implementation providers. The report states that 41% of organisations have adopted this model, while 29% are co-developing Voice AI capabilities with their partners.

Cost efficiency has been a notable outcome, with 61% of organisations reporting a reduction of over 20% in cost per eligible interaction after adopting Voice AI. This operational benefit is contributing to the technology’s wider acceptance across sectors.

Return on investment timelines are also highlighted in the report. It found that 68% of organisations achieved ROI within a period ranging from six to twenty-four months, demonstrating measurable financial outcomes from Voice AI projects.

Revenue impact has been observed among organisations that have scaled their Voice AI deployments. About 30% of these organisations reported a positive effect on their revenue streams, according to the findings.

Looking ahead, the report notes that two-thirds of surveyed organisations expect their investments in Voice AI to rise by as much as 50%. This anticipated increase suggests that Voice AI is becoming an integral part of digital strategies in India’s key sectors.
