A cyberattack disrupted U.S.NEXT services, including email and websites, according to a company update dated October 9, 2026. The disruption affected Neshoba County’s website and email, The Neshoba Democrat reported, while officials in Philadelphia also described website and email outages.

The Neshoba County Administrator told The Neshoba Democrat that the county reported its service problem to U.S.NEXT at 7:20 a.m. on October 8. Sheriff Eric Clark said his office could not use email to contact vendors or arrange inmate transfers with the Department of Corrections. He also said the outage interrupted receipt of NCIC hit messages and information-sharing with other agencies through the office’s usual channels.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Fulton said the city’s website was unavailable while its email service remained unaffected at the time of his statement. Police Chief Eric Lyons said the department’s main email had been unavailable since the afternoon of October 8 and that he had no estimate for restoration.

U.S.NEXT said it had disabled access to services while conducting risk assessments and was working with FBI and Homeland Security teams to assess the incident. In its October 9 update, the company said the disruption was expected to continue for multiple days and that it did not have a restoration estimate. On October 11, it stated that customer accounting information and billing details had not been compromised.

In an October 13 update, U.S.NEXT said restoring its hosted MailEnable email service was its priority and reported progress. The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department is based in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and lists 601-656-1414 as its telephone number.
