CBRE Agrees to Buy Onnec for Up to £760 Million

CBRE has agreed to acquire Onnec Group Limited, a London-based provider of network, fibre and data-centre infrastructure services, according to its October 20, 2026 announcement. The definitive agreement covers a proposed acquisition that has not yet been completed, with payment terms allowing for a total of up to £760 million, or approximately $1 billion.

According to CBRE, Onnec’s services span infrastructure design, deployment and maintenance. The company, established in 1986, has approximately 800 employees and serves hyperscaler customers across Asia Pacific, continental Europe and the UK.

CBRE said its plan would place Onnec within its Critical Infrastructure Services business line. Its 2027 revenue projection for that business line includes Onnec and totals nearly $4.5 billion.

The payment terms announced by CBRE provide for £460 million in cash initially, equivalent to approximately $610 million. An additional earnout, payable over multiple years, would depend on Onnec achieving specified growth thresholds. That conditional portion has a ceiling of £300 million, or approximately $400 million, rather than being a guaranteed payment.

Completion remains dependent on customary regulatory approvals, CBRE said. At the time of the announcement, the company anticipated closing around the end of 2026.

For Onnec itself, CBRE’s projections for 2027 put revenue at approximately £370 million, equivalent to about $498 million. The company also projected core EBITDA above £50 million, or about $67 million, for the same year. Both figures are forecasts from CBRE, not financial results already recorded by Onnec.
