Salesforce Unveils Koa CRM Reasoning Model With NVIDIA Partnership
At a glance
- Salesforce and NVIDIA announced Koa at Dreamforce on September 15, 2026.
- Koa is being piloted by select customers, with wider U.S. availability expected in winter 2026.
- Salesforce claims Koa achieves three times fewer CRM errors than leading alternatives.
Salesforce introduced Koa, its first CRM reasoning model, in collaboration with NVIDIA at Dreamforce 2026. The model is currently in pilot use, with broader U.S. rollout planned for winter 2026.
Koa was developed by post-training NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super on a synthetic dataset reflecting 27 years of Salesforce CRM deployments. Salesforce stated that the model operates within its trust boundary, ensuring customer data is not used during training or inference.
Initial pilot customers for Koa include organizations such as 1-800Accountant, Baxter Credit Union, Engine, Formula 1, UChicago Medicine, and Xero. Salesforce said the model is available to select users within Agentforce, with plans for general availability in the coming months.
According to Salesforce, Koa demonstrates approximately three times fewer errors on CRM actions compared to other leading models, based on internal benchmarking. The company added 2,000 paying customers into production last quarter, though most have not yet started AI transformations.
What the numbers show
- Agentforce ARR exceeded $1.5 billion in Q2 FY27, up over 240% year-over-year.
- Combined Agentforce and Data 360 ARR reached nearly $3.9 billion.
- Salesforce delivered 2.4 billion Agentic Work Units in Q4 fiscal 2026 across Agentforce and Slack.
Salesforce’s CRM stock closed at $243 after the Koa announcement, which was below the $275 analyst target at the time. At Salesforce’s Investor Day, analysts noted that since Koa is not yet widely available, it will not affect bookings, retention, or margins for the current quarter.
Enterprise customers often implement major updates around the Dreamforce Winter release, so product launches in September typically result in billable usage several months later. This pattern aligns with the expected general availability timeline for Koa in the U.S.
In fiscal 2026, Agentforce annual recurring revenue surpassed $800 million, and the combined total for Agentforce and Data 360 exceeded $2.9 billion. These figures reflect ongoing adoption of Salesforce’s AI and automation offerings.
Koa’s design ensures that all operations remain within Salesforce’s security framework, with no customer data used for model training or inference. This approach is intended to maintain data privacy for organizations piloting the new model.
